What is SokoPro?
SokoPro is an application developed by Sokonet. In summer 2007 it was promoted to be a separate business unit. SokoPro is the most used project bank in Finland in terms of users, turnover and project data.
SokoPro is an ASP-application, that is, a customer needs neither own servers nor to install additional programs. SokoPro runs on Sokonet’s server cluster of six servers. Microsoft .NET is used as the technology and MsSQL as the database. To the user SokoPro is OS-independent and therefore project bank can be used with all browsers and operating systems.
One of the greatest advantages of using SokoPro is the modularity of the system, and, as a result of this, SokoPro is very easy to integrate. The database of SokoPro is XML-based and the application supports web services interface and user integrations (such as LDAP/AD). Metadata can be read automatically to the base (import features).
How to choose a project bank?
We suggest you to check following aspects when considering project bank contract:
1) Provider’s reliability as a company – The background of a particular project bank must be in order (require the highest credit ranking, it’s for your own security)
2) Application (= the project bank software itself) references, features and development plans and the level of provider’s customer support. In the latter we suggest a test call to provider’s help desk.
